For clinician founders
You have seen what needs fixing. Build the company that fixes it.
The best healthcare technology starts with someone who has done the job. If you are a clinician with an idea bigger than one service, Ostify is where you build it yourself, own it, and take it to the people who need it.
Our mission
To empower clinicians to build great tech.
Ostify was started by a clinician, for clinicians. Read the story.
Why you
You already have the hardest part.
Technology can be learned or borrowed. Knowing what patients ask, where a pathway breaks and what a safe answer sounds like takes years at the bedside. That is what a great product is built on.
No developer. No funding round.
Build your first agent yourself, for free, and preview your very own app on your phone. The engineering, hosting and safety checks are already done.
The idea and the product stay yours.
Everything you build belongs to you, and we cannot see it until you submit it for review. How we protect your ideas.
Take it wherever the need is.
Offer it to NHS trusts, bring it to your own clients, or run it as a not-for-profit initiative. What helps your patients can help thousands more.
What it saves your business
Skip the development bill, and most of the assurance one.
Building a safe patient-facing AI app usually means paying developers first, then paying again for evaluation and assurance.
Building it yourself
A conservative estimate. Real costs usually run higher.
- Development
- £15,000–£35,000Around 4–8 weeks of a London developer at £650–£900 a day to build, host and secure a small patient-facing LLM app.
- Evaluation
- £1,500–£4,500At least two clinicians reviewing the app’s answers, typically 2–4 sessions each at £400–£550 a session.
- Assurance
- £3,000–£11,000Clinical safety officer and DCB0129 and DTAC work for a pre-revenue start-up. Once you are generating revenue, this rises considerably.
- Preparing for live
- ExtraProduction hosting, security testing, monitoring and deployment all add further costs on top.
Before going live, at least£19,500–£50,500+
With Ostify
- Development
- FreeThe builder, guardrails and on-phone testing, with no engineers and no time limit, for up to 10 MB of clinical content.
- Evaluation
- Founder planOsti-gen writes the questions and Osti-judge gives every answer a first score, so you and at least one colleague review faster. In beta.
- Assurance
- Founder planNine assurance documents drafted from your agent, ready for your clinical safety officer to review. In beta.
A one-off review. The fee varies, but is typically £800–£1,000, and includes a generous message allowance for your pilot. In production, choose a monthly package or pay-as-you-go, always prepaid.
£0 upfront before your first patient. Apply, and if we see a strong use case, your costs move to the live phase and you pay as you scale.
How Osticellerate worksConservative estimates, not quotes: most projects cost more. Development assumes 20–40 days at London contractor rates for a senior or machine-learning developer, and assurance costs increase once a company is generating revenue. Evaluation always needs at least two clinicians, including on Ostify, and clinical safety sign-off remains your responsibility either way.
Ready for the conversation
What a buyer or a commissioner will ask for.
Selling into healthcare means showing your working. You come out of Ostify with these in hand.
- Evidence that it works
An evaluation report from a fixed set of questions, reviewed by at least two clinicians, that you can share with stakeholders. How evaluation works.
- Your assurance documents
Nine documents drafted from your agent for your clinical safety officer to review, and our published DCB0129 to reference. What is included.
- A known cost per patient
A clear price for each conversation, paid in advance, so you can price your own product with confidence. What a conversation costs.
Questions founders ask us
Before you build.
Who owns what I build?
You do. Your agent and every idea in it remain your intellectual property.
Do I need a developer or a technical co-founder?
Not to build, evaluate or pilot. The builder needs no code, and hosting, guardrails and security are part of the platform. See what is under the hood.
Who is this for?
Clinicians. Ostify is built for people who know a service from the inside and want to build something of their own. You will need at least one clinical colleague to review your evaluation with you, and a clinical safety officer to sign it off.
What do I pay before my first user?
Building is free. The review before going live is a one-off fee, or nothing upfront if your agent is accepted for Osticellerate. See pricing.
Great healthcare technology should be built by the people who deliver care.
Start with the problem you know best. Your agent stays private until you decide to take it further.
